Bendigo Spirit will return home for their second match of their Semi Final series on Tuesday night, as they gear up to face the Perth Lynx again, this time in front of their home crowd.

After more than two weeks on the road, the Spirit will dig deep to put a show-stopping performance on against the Lynx, with the support of their fans hopefully pushing them towards a win.

Falling to the Lynx in the first round of semi-finals by only 10 points (86-76), the Spirit held strong until the final buzzer, putting up a gutsy fight.

Izzy Borlase was her regular WNBL26 MVP self, tallying a massive 22 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists. A huge in for the Spirit in co-captain Kelsey Griffin (10 points, six rebounds), alongside Abbey Wehrung (14 points) and Megan McConnell (10 points, six rebounds) saw the Spirit fighting for the lead right until the end.

A massive day out for the Lynx on their home court, however, held the Spirit back from stealing the win, with Ally Wilson (24, six rebounds, five assists), Anneli Maley (24 points, 13 rebounds, five assists) and Amy Atwell (17 points) making huge scoreboard contributions as they hunted down the first win of the series.

With Tuesday’s game having the potential to either make or break the reigning Champions’ WNBL26 season, the Spirit will bring their all to the Red Energy Arena as they fight to continue their finals campaign.
